Driver profile

Andrew Jarman has been involved in Motorsport all his life, following his fathers own career as a successful Saloon Car Champion in the 1970 – 1980’s before starting his own racing career in Karts at the age of 14, winning his local Club Championship and going onto become a race winner at British Kart Championship level and a regular top seeded driver.

In 2008 Andrew stepped up into Single Seater racing and the BARC Formula Renault Championship, competing in the “Privateer’s Cup” for privately run teams with his family run KJ Motorsport team. It was a superb rookie season which saw Andrew narrowly miss out on the championship crown in his first season after taking the title fight down to the final round.

For 2009, Andrew joined professional race team SWB Motorsport for a full title assault on the BARC Formula Renault Championship after winning the support of sponsors TXM Recruit, Railcare, Raildoor Solutions, Albatros UK and EFD.

In one of the most competitive seasons since the championship began, Andrew started the season as one of the front runners, running 5th overall in the Championship before a mid season Engine problem hampered his progress in the highly competitive series. Despite this Andrew pulled in determind end to his season to finish a respectable 9th overall.

Determined to capitalise on the potential and success he showed in 2010 and with a newly built Formula Renault car, Andrew has rejoined the SWB Motorsport for 2011 for an attack on the Championship title with the continued support of his sponsors.
